Weekend Roudup.

This weekend was glorious! It was the first taste of summer and it had me wanting more!

Friday: After work Anthony and I went to sushi. We have been craving it but sadly we couldn't go to our favorite place because they were closed. Sushi Q in Nevada city is still a nice treat. After, we strolled around with an ice cream cone. There is the cutest ice cream shop in Nevada City called Treats. Anthony tried their basil ice cream! Different but surprisingly good! I stuck with the bing cherry. Yum!

Saturday: I spent most of the day running errands in town. Stopped for a smoothie with Anthony. Then spent the afternoon at an open house at a local flower shop. My moms Relay for Life team hosted it. There were snacks and sangria which is my absolute favorite summer drink. It was a successful event!
Later that night, Anthony and I tried a new mexican restaurant and was pleased to find out it was very authentic! We will definitely go back.

Sunday: another day of sunshine. Started the day off with a little walk with a cup of joe. Did some cleaning, went to the laundry mat, and I had a relay for life meeting to go to that evening. We had it at a local brewery so that was nice. Sipped on a few brews while making Relay for Life plans and goals.

All and all it was a fantastic weekend. I hope the cold front coming in passes by quickly so we can get more of this weather. Come on summer!  =)

(please excuse the lack of order in my pictures... I'm using the blogger app on my phone and for some reason it doesn't keep the pictures in order....soooo annoying!)

Better late.

I forgot to finish sharing photos from my trip to Portland last month. I have been horrible about updating everything (besides Instagram because I'm addicted). I didn't even get these pictures on Facebook yet (omg!!! Lol).

I seriously really liked this city. I think I could fit in nicely there. I also think I could get use to the rain as well? We will see what happens...

Happy Friday!

The move.

Last weekend we moved from the best apartment ever to the country.

It was a stressful and tiring weekend thanks to the rain!

But I'm thankful to my mom who helped me scrub down my house which means I will probably get most of my deposit back (and will definitely have to take her to dinner with).

Now it's time to set up the new house and listen to the crickets. Seriously though, it's so quiet out there! Haha

Friday

Happy Friday!!

I found this picture of my little sister and I while packing. I don't if I have mentioned before but I'm moving. Blah! Isn't moving the worst? Especially when you are moving out to the sticks....oh the things you do for people you love.

Anyway, this weekend will consist of packing, cleaning, more packing, and of course seeing the Hunger Games!! So excited!!

May this Friday ever be in your favor.

Portland: through my stomach.

We had such an awesome time in Portland!! What a lovely city. I could see myself living there. It's such a combination of San Francisco and my hometown of Nevada City. The people are friendly and as far as cities go it seemed like it was affordable.

Plus coming from California the land of taxes, it was nice getting a break from paying sales tax for the weekend. Haha.

Here's a glimpse at all the food that was consumed. Yum...
We went to Stumptown a couple times, checked out the famous Voodoo doughnuts, ate a delicious breakfast at Tasty n Sons, washed down a great dinner with the best drinks at Saucebox, tried a few brews at Bridgeport brewery,  had dessert at Moonstruck chocolate cafe, and checked out a fair share of street food.

I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!

Roadtripping.

Anthony and I are headed to Portland, Oregon tomorrow for a fun little road trip. We will also be celebrating his 24 birthday (what a youngster!).

Really looking forward to exploring stumptown and of course drinking lots of coffee and microbrews!

I have been to Portland once before when I was about 10 or 11. I remember really liking Portland and thinking it was a beautiful city. Can't wait to rediscover it!

Please if you have any recommendations on things to eat, see, or do.... Please let me know!! :)

Now the question is should I remember to being these thick rimmed glasses with me?? LOL

Extra day!

Today on the extra day of the year we got our first real taste of winter. It's about time! I love the first pretty storm of the year. Where I live we usually get a couple good snow storms a season.

Wasn't sure if we would see any snow this year with the unseasonably warm weather we have had. Thankful that it finally came! =)

Does anyone do anything special for this day that comes once every 4 years? I don't normally.
I should change that!

Hope you all enjoy today!

Mardi Gras.

I totally forgot to hit publish on this post earlier this week. ha.

This was last weekend: Mardi Gras Weekend!
I drank, ate, walked in the mardi gras parade with Relay for Life, celebrated Anthony's uncles bday, and needed more sleep. =)
What a great time!
On my bucket list: To spend Mardi Gras in New Orleans! If i had fun celebrating it in California then I can only imagine of the crazy fun time I would have there! Next year? =)

On the agenda for this weekend:
-margaritas and a little pool with a few friends
-baby shower
-spending a night with my sister and friends! Girls night!
-watching the Oscars!

Anthony is in San Diego this weekend but i made him fill out an Oscar ballot before he left! It's a fun tradition that we do! =)

I hope everyone enjoys their weekends! xoxo
