SF

I just now realized that I never put up any photos from my San Francisco trip that we took in OCTOBER! Lame! I don't think I even put of the pictures onto my facebook.... (gasp! now thats saying something)! I wanted to share a few because it was absolutely the best weekend in SF. The weather was perfect! Plus, Anthony and I had fun exploring different neighborhoods that we haven't spent a lot of time in.
the Bay Bridge peaking through the buildings
Walking through China town

Gelato in Nob Hill

The Golden Gate

Hanging out at Coit Tower

Coffee at Cafe Triste (Dinner was at the Stinking Rose)

Breakfast the next day @ Farm:Table. I had the daily toast. Whole wheat, mascarpone, figs, nuts, apples, and cinnamon. Light and really good!

Local artist in the Mission

Love the colors and culture of that area!

Houses in Haight-Ashbury
49ers game to top of the day! Enjoying our $12 dollar beers. =)

I love San Francisco. It's a really unique city and has a lot to offer. It holds a special place in my heart because a lot of my family is from the Bay.

I can't wait to go back! Next trip will probably be a girls weekend! woot

it's a family tradition..

It's been a tradition for a few years to go over to my Grandmas house and make pies for Thanksgiving. My mom, cousins, sister, aunt, and grandma all get together in the tiny kitchen and make several pies. Pumpkin, pecan, berry, and apple! It's a lot of fun!

The final product:

Tonight, I'm headed over to my grandmas once again. I'm making an apple and pecan pie. I love hanging out with all the girls... listening to Christmas music, sipping on wine, and catching up.

What kind of family Traditions do you do for Thanksgiving?

snuggle fest!

This weekend was full of snuggling!
Anthony and I babysat this cutie

We love him.. and want to keep him. **We will see what happens....**

It also snowed this weekend...which is pretty rare. We usually get one or two snow storms a year but this one came a bit early!

It was the perfect weekend to relax, snuggle, make some corn chowder, and nap.. oh and drink a glass of wine. =)

Hope everyone else had an awesome one! Looking forward to this week!

*lame photo quality from my blackberry!

We are women... hear us Roar!

I have pretty ladies in my life

Me, Lacie, and Kim

We all care for each other and would do most anything for one another.
Me, my mom, and sister

The bond that unites us is deeper than the blood we share
My sister Erica, Leslie my almost sister, me, and my sister Brit

We will stick by each other through thick and thin

Kyla and Heather, my twin cousins. Brit and Myself.

We will laugh, cry, pray, hug, fight, but always love!

I hope everyone is lucky to have awesome women in their lives. These pictures don't even show everyone. I have many more that make me who I am.

I'm shameless

<<***I broke out in Garth Brooks when I wrote the title of this post!***>>
The awesome, talented, foodie Molly, featured me on her blog today! I wrote a Shameless November list for her series. Go check it out.. NOW!
A little tad bit about Molly> I often daydream about living in NYC and hanging out with her. She seems like a really fun chica! We share a love of food, horchata, and being silly.
Happy Hump Day! Celebrate November by being Shameless!

Christmas Cards!

It's that time of year!

I'm thinking about being a 'grown up' this year and sending out Christmas Cards to more people than just my grandparents. I figure it's time.

I want to do a picture card. I'm thinking this picture.

What do you all think?
Are you sending out Cards?

The Weekend

The weekend consisted of:

-a bon fire

-pizza

-shopping with my mom

-relaxing at home

-sushi and drinks with a friend

-Spanish breakfast

-hike on a local trail

-naps

It was a great weekend and really well rounded. I always love when I have the perfect combination of fun and relaxation! Not to mention it was in the low 70's! Crazy! It was beautiful out. 'They' say by next weekend it's supposed to change though and that we might have the possibilities of snow! How's that for bipolar weather?

On a different note, I went to the thrift store on my lunch break and bought some Christmas records!! I need to get a Record player now. Just haven't found one yet!

11.09.2010

getting giddy

A few things that I'm happy and excited for:

-listening to Christmas music 24/7 and not feeling embarrassed by it!

-making pies

-family

-putting up my Christmas Tree! I'm thinking I will go the weekend after Thanksgiving!

-Cornish and Victorian Christmas

-Christmas lights

And generally the whole feeling of the season! It's the best! I hope it lingers and doesn't go by too fast because I'm always super sad when it's over.

Is everyone as excited as me for the season to officially kick off?

October Recap

With the first week of November coming to a close and so much more in store for the rest of the year I thought I should start recapping my months. That way I can look back and see how much fun I had in my 20's! =)
October 2010 was a pretty awesome month with 5 full weekends in one month!

A little recap of some of the fun adventures that were had:
- a fun drive up to Truckee with Anthony
-eating at a restaurant that was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives!
-winning FREE tickets to the 49ers vs. Eagles game in SF.
-being in San Francisco on the most perfect weekends. Fleet week! Enjoying the city with Anthony.
-randomly going to a Rascal Flatts concert. Bought the tickets 4 hours before it started.
-AppleHill Sunday trip with my sister and twin cousins. Having apple beer and mini photo shoots in the orchards. =)
-Wishing my little sister a Happy 22nd Birthday!
-Relay Academy! Learning a lot about the ACS and Relay for Life
-Celebrating 4 years with Anthony.... hard to believe.
-Hosting a Halloween Party! Costumes, drinks, snacks, and games! Super fun!

A few smaller moments that were just as fun!:
-having a little bbq hangout with the family
-having a midweek lunch with my sister, taking her to Thai for her first time.
-renting Babies the documentary film. laughing hard and crying a little too!
-starting the first season of Weeds
-seeing the Giants win the World Series!
-craving pumpkins with a few friends
-lunch breaks with my co-workers. we have fun.

I'm extremely thankful for:
That I was able to do all of this stuff.. let alone in one single month. I feel truly lucky when I really sit down and think about it. I'm not rich and I do struggle at times. When rent is due, I stress out a little bit. But I am a good saver and I don't spend my money on a lot material things. I don't shop at J Crew or Anthropology. If I did I couldn't experience things like this. I don't drive a brand new car and a lot of my furniture in my home was either given to me, for free, or from a consignment/thrift store. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop! And I do!! I just try to really save my money for the things in life that I feel will enrich my life. The experience. Being with friends and having a good time. Going out to dinner and enjoying an awesome meal with the people that I care for.

So far it looks like November will hold a lot of awesome memories and I'm looking forward to experiencing them!

The picture on there today:

It's really fun to explore my town and surrounding areas with my camera. It makes you look at things differently and it makes me appreciate where I'm from more.
